The first glaring problem dealing with Dr. Wakefield’s story is he never actually claimed “Vaccines cause Autism”, a fact I could prove, but that will have to wait for another article. Dr. Wakefield’s medical assessment led him to assert the need for further investigation into a potential link between MMR injections and children’s autism. Rather diplomatically, Dr. Wakefield put forward that this matter needed to undergo further scientific analysis. Dr. Wakefield thought it wise to split the MMR injections into separate vaccines so as not to overload children with too much of Big Pharma’s alleged “protective” injection. This view was dismissed in a typical bureaucratic fashion, but it shows Dr. Wakefield, at the time, was not “anti-vax”.
